Here are the latest updates, including a new version of the configuration plugin, a new setting called DOWN_ALWAYS_FIRES_NEXT_SC, and 4 new tags:

- The Max for Live configuration plugin now provides access to a tag management interface (via the new “Tags” button): you can now simply check boxes to apply tags to scene names, instead of using Ableton's interface, which wasn't the easiest to use. More information is available in the manual.
- The new configuration parameter DOWN_ALWAYS_FIRES_NEXT_SC ensures that the next scene is always triggered when the down button (scene down) is pressed: you no longer need to add the l4ldownfiresnextsc tag to all subsequent scenes as needed.

- Four new tags have been added:

  • Down Record on track #X (l4ldownrecordstrackX):
This tag automatically starts recording on the track number indicated by the X when the scene transitions to the lower level. For example, `l4ldownrecordstrack2` will start recording on track 2 when the scene transitions to the lower level.
  • Down Duplicates scene up to #X (l4ldownduplicatescenefromprevscX):
This tag allows you to duplicate one or more scenes when you press the down scene change button. The X represents the number of previous scenes you want to duplicate.
With l4ldownduplicatescenefromprevsc0, only the current scene will be duplicated.
With l4ldownduplicatescenefromprevsc1, the current scene and the previous scene will be duplicated.
With l4ldownduplicatescenefromprevsc2, the current scene and the two previous scenes will be duplicated, and so on…
Note that you can limit the number of duplicates using the "Limit duplicate count X" tag below. Otherwise, duplicates will occur endlessly whenever the scene changes.
  • Limit duplicate count X (l4lduplicatecountX):
This tag works in conjunction with the "Down Duplicates scene up to #X" tag above: it allows you to limit the number of duplicates that will be linked. Replace the X with the number of duplicates you want. Note that the names of the duplicated clips will include the number of duplicates remaining in their filenames via the prefix “countX,” where X is the number of duplicates remaining.
  • Down Duplicates clips (l4ldownduplicatesclips):
This tag will duplicate the clips from the current scene to the scene below it (it will not create a new scene, unlike the "Down Duplicates scene up to #X" tag). Only the empty clip slots in the scene below will receive a duplicated clip from the current scene. The purpose of this tag is to create a progression in the sequence of scenes. This allows the song to evolve by having a clip already present in the scenes following the current one.

You'll need to update your remote scripts and plugins to use these new features:
